One of the main selling points of Windows tablets over the iPad and Android tablets is Microsoft Office. Well, The Verge did a hands-on with a Windows RT tablet, and while having Excel on your tablet (for free, no less) is totally awesome, the interface is brutally unfriendly to the finger. More tablet-y stuff like email, web browsing, etc that use Metro apps are fine with a finger, but it looks like if you want to use the desktop for ANYTHING, you better have a stylus with you.

Why do I mention this? Because nearly every x86 Windows 8 tablet I've seen has one variety or other of stylus included, whereas digitizer pens are an extreme rarity with other-OS tablets. I myself don't like to hand-write or to draw, so I pooh-poohed a stylus-equipped model for myself, but after watching that video, I'm definitely finding a model with a digitizer of some variety. I want to use Office on my tablet and I'll need a pen to do so effectively.
So is Windows RT/Windows 8 going to cause a surge in interest in digitizer styluses? Or will they remain a niche product?
