Can marketing solve attraction woes for Florida and Downtown Jacksonville?

It looks like the Downtown Jacksonville advocates who are raising $300,000 to launch a new marketing campaign aren?t alone in their philosophy.

After Florida was ranked the 29th best state for business by CNBC, a Florida businessman wrote a column that the real problem is a "branding" issue.

?Florida is a dramatically under recognized option for new business creation and expansion,? Toby LaVigne wrote. ?And while Florida can?t change many of the factors in the rankings, it can change perception.?
