We all like free don?t we, mamas?

Sometimes it?s hard coming up with activities for our kiddos to engage in that will pass the summer months and are age appropriate for a variety of kids.

Have no fear,?I?ve?searched and found some great things for the entire family to get in on while school?s out on break for the summer months.

Summer Activities For The Whole Family?

1. Head on over to www.KidsBowlFree.com and sign your children up. During the summer, they?ll send you notifications and coupons that will allow your kids to bowl for free at various venues near you.

?

2. Are your kids avid readers? Barnes and Noble host a great summer reading contest that can help your child read their way to a free book. They also offer virtual story time for the younger kids ? where authors and celebrities read popular children?s books.

?

3. Log on to www.TrailLink.com and search for trails of all kinds that are near you. Your family will love hiking, bike riding, and running in new territory. Think new trails for horseback riding, walking, ATV riding, and even fishing and wheelchair accessible options are all at your fingertips waiting for you to enjoy them.

?

4. Think Lowes, Home Depot, Pottery Barn, and Bass Pro Shops ? all of whom have free classes and/or workshops that your kids can participate in. Call ahead or click online to find out if your favorite retail store has free happenings going on during the summer months. You?ll be surprised to find out that most do.

?

5. Use www.LocalHarvest.org to find out which Farmer?s Markets are in your area. Pack up the family and head out for a lovely afternoon eating and admiring delicious and organic fruits and veggies.

?

6. Check out www.KidsMealDeals.com to search restaurants in your area that run great specials for kids when you dine in.

?

7. Explore volunteering options in your area that your entire family can help out with. Utilize www.VolunteerMatch.org to find causes that everyone is passionate about and lend a hand. Not only will you be teaching your kids the value of compassion for others but you?ll also be having fun, getting out of the house, and meeting other caring families like yours.

?

8. Check out your local movie cinemas. Many offer deep weekly discounts or totally free movies that are age appropriate for the kids. Take a quick peek online at their website, call them, or simply stop in if you?re in the area.
